Single Phase Controlled Rectifier With RAMP Comparator Firing Scheme ST2708 is a compact, ready to use power electronics experiment board. Ramp comparator firing circuit is available on board. This trainer is helpful for students to know how to generate firing pulses for single phase converter using ramp comparator firing scheme. Synchronized sine signal converts into square wave using zero crossing detector and generates ramp signal. Ramp is compared in comparator with reference voltage and generates firing pulses. The trainer is so designed that different experiments can be performed by making connections using patch cords and observe the wave forms at different points in the circuits.
