Series Inverter ST2707 is a compact, ready to use power electronics experiment board. This trainer is helpful for students to know how to convert DC to AC using SCR and its working operation. The conversion can be achieved either by controlled turn on and turn off devices (i.e. BJTs, MOSFETs, IGBTs, MCTs, SITs, GTOs and SITHs) or by forced commutation of thyristors, depending on applications. In this type of inverter L and C are the commutating components. Triggering circuit generates two triggering pulses for SCRs. The frequency of the pulse is varied using frequency control pot. Features Built in power supply. Easy to operate and understand. On board triggering circuit. Sockets to make connections. Gradual variation of frequency. Test points to observe output at different points. Experiment To study the operation of series inverter.
